Real Range, Real Distance
Most laser training apps are built for the living room: one phone, full-frame processing, a target a few meters away. Real distance breaks them — sunlight floods the frame, tiny dots vanish, and processing every pixel drains the battery. LaserLock was engineered the other way around.
Two phones over local Wi-Fi — the sensor phone sits meters from the target while you shoot from real distance. With a mid-point travel router, verified handgun drills at 30–50 m and rifle drills up to ~100 m. Your eyes focus at true range, where small sway means a large miss — the refinement that actually transfers to live shooting.

LaserLock scans only your yellow ROI zone and ignores everything outside it. Shade just the target (even a simple cardboard box works) and it doesn't matter if the entire field between you and the target is in blazing sun — detection stays clean, false hits stay out, and battery lasts longer because the app processes only the pixels that matter.

ROI-focused processing instead of full-frame scanning means longer sessions and cooler phones. With camera zoom set so the target fills the frame — keeping the laser dot visibly sized instead of a vanishing speck — most affordable ~$30 1 mW cartridges detect reliably out to 30 m, and tested <5 mW cartridges reach Duo Mode's longest verified distances.
Indoor-oriented systems are excellent at what they do — but real-field distance training is where camera placement and ROI processing decide everything. That's LaserLock's home ground. Always check and obey your region's maximum permitted laser output; LaserLock neither encourages nor accepts responsibility for the use of lasers exceeding local legal limits.
